This is a vintage Schatz 400 Clock made in Germany. It is in very good physical condition, with a fine sheen. Mechanically it needs some attention to get it running. The wire that attaches to the pendulum is bent and probablty needs to be replaced.
This is an Anniversary style, made for a shelf or mantle. It has a brushed silver tone dial with brass tone body and parts. The back of the clock is marked: “Aug. Schatz & Sohne, 53, Germany. The case is Brass with a few slight spots of patina and wear. The front and sides are beveled acrylic, and the right side is cracked. It could be replaced with cut acrylic or glass. The case lifts up and off the base for winding. The case secures on both sides with a Lever Lock. The dimensions of the clock are 8 3/8″ tall x 5 1/8″ wide x 4 1/4″ front to back. The winding key is not included.
This German made clock is very attractive for any room.
